To be honest, there are not so many great advertising campaigns from Vietnam, but there are enough great ones for young creatives like us to look up to and strive for.
One of those is Be Their Bodhisattva, the almost-killed work that made boss Thanh Ngo, the advertising idol/ mentor of mine and many other VNese creatives.
Then in May 2021, coincidently, the same brief - Save The Rhinos, and the same client - Change Vietnam, landed on our table at Dentsu Redder.
With that, I set for myself the challenge to come up with a campaign/ solution at his level as a graduation gift before coming back to the States for my college education.
The result was an idea that to me, is both terrific & terrifying
That split our CEO and our ECD for its potential PR backlash.
That sadly, the client didn’t buy. But proudly, one of my best.
